Kenton Wright has been riding horses since he was five days old as his mom rode pens in a feedlot. A sixth-generation rancher/horse trainer in the Pacific Northwest, Kenton grew up training ranch horses with an emphasis on producing safe, versatile mounts for all walks of life.  Even during his collegiate baseball career, Kenton continued to train horses in various disciplines from rope and barrel futurity horses in Texas to horses for mounted police. As his professional baseball career took him all over he still found time to add new equestrian disciplines to his repertoire including, eventers, jumpers, polo and mounted archery. He is an accomplished polo player and has garnered numerous accolades in mounted archery.  Kenton earned national top honors his first year in working equitation (2017) winning the Novice Horse/Rider pair division; since then he has had numerous horse of the years and competed up through Master’s Level both domestically and internationally.  Early in 2018, at his first rated dressage show, he brought home the high score award from Heart of the Valley Dressage.  Kenton has earned numerous USDF and USAWE medals including the Platinum medal. Kenton was selected as a member of the inaugural international Team USA for working equitation in 2026, competing in Jerez, Spain.

Kenton diligently continues his education by seeking out instruction, most recently from: FEI Five Star Judge Mike Osinski, World Champion Gilberto Silva and Portuguese Rejoneador David Gomes. Kenton currently competes in dressage and Working Equitation with WoW horses as well as client horses.
