Heritage Rhode Island Red Hatching Eggs

The Heritage Rhode Island Red is the most successful dual purpose breed of chicken. They are a very hardy, docile, and sturdy breed of chicken even with limited conditions the hens will still lay. Don’t confuse this breed with large hatchery bred Rhode Island Reds. Here at WoW Hatchery we are working with the single comb Heritage variety that lays up to 300 eggs per year and produces on of the best meat carcasses weighing more than 4 pounds fully dressed. This is about half their live weight of 8-9 pound for the roosters and 6-7 pounds for the hens. I asure you that you will fall in love with these large mahogany red gentle sweet giants.
